Professional Experience

Gina Huisy is an Australian-Chinese Clinical Psychologist and Hypnotherapist; able to provide a multi-lingual service in English, Cantonese and basic Mandarin. She has cross-cultural experience working with culturally diverse clients and clients of diverse socio economic backgrounds.

Gina offers considerable experience delivering specialist psychological services having held psychology positions in the private sector, government and clinical practice. She has provided Employee Assistance Program support to personnel from varying industries. Gina has also worked in Aboriginal Health and currently works part-time in state government community mental health as well as private practice.

She possesses post-graduate qualifications and clinical experience in both clinical and organisational psychology. Her clinical treatment approaches include:

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy

  • Acceptance and committment therapy (mindfulness skills)

  • Solution-focused therapy

  • Elements of dialectic behavioural therapy

Gina maintains full membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is a College Fellow with the APS’s College of Clinical Psychologists. She is also a full member of the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST).
