Professional Experience

Dr Joleen (Jo) is a highly experienced and decorated General Practitioner. In conjunction with her part-time general practice role at Globe Medical, Jo is an Aviation Medical Officer with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) where she predominantly practices occupational and aviation medicine. In her role with the RAAF Jo has completed numerous overseas deployments and humanitarian relief missions, including to Afghanistan where she coordinated the Aero-medical evacuation mission of wounded Australian soldiers from a US controlled hospital in Kandahar.

Jo joined Globe Medical in early 2016, where she enjoys the clinical variety of metropolitan general practice across areas such as student health, sexual health, women’s health and paediatric health. As a CASA (Civil Aviation Authority) accredited Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME), Jo can perform Aviation Medicals for commercial/private pilots and air traffic controllers.
